Clough takes on Burton pals
09 Jan 2009 - 16:12:00
New Derby County manager Nigel Clough is to bring in three of his backroom staff to Pride Park from former club Burton Albion.
Gary Crosby, Andy Garner and Martin Taylor will all join Clough in time for the the Rams' visit to Cardiff on Saturday.
Garner and Taylor are both former Rams players, while Crosby spent time at Nottingham Forest with Clough during their playing careers.
Garner will be remembered by some fans for scoring 30 goals for County, while Taylor was part of the Derby side which lost in the 1994 play-off final.
Derby have been in poor form in the Championship, slipping to 18th in the table. However, they were buoyed by a midweek victory over club world champions Manchester United in the Carling Cup.
