Clough slams battered Rams

Derby County manager Nigel Clough blasted his side after they collapsed to a 6-1 defeat to Cardiff City on Tuesday evening.

Clough was desperately unhappy with the Rams' performance, with County having been 2-1 down when Rob Hulse scored straight after half-time.

He told the Evening Telegraph: "We've lost some games, but it's the manner in which you lose and the way you concede the goals.

"When that third goal went in, we should have made sure if we were going to lose, we lose 3-1, not four, five or six.

"The manner of the defeat and the margin of defeat was a shock. We got back into it at 2-1 two minutes after half-time and we thought if we could keep it like that for 10 or 15 minutes, we might be in with a chance."

Swedish defender Fredrik Stoor, signed on loan from Fulham, made his Rams debut in the game at the Cardiff City Stadium.
