Clough revels in Rams win

Derby County manager Nigel Clough was understandably delighted following the 3-0 Championship win against Newcastle United on Tuesday night.

The Rams secured the thumping success thanks to goals from Rob Hulse, Kris Commons and Shaun Barker and Clough believes a win of this nature has been a long time coming.

It has alleviated their relegation fears and they now sit in 15th position in the table.

Speaking to reporters, Clough said: "Anyone who has seen us in the last few weeks will say that result has been coming.

"We got our rewards for the performances and all the hard work in the last few weeks.

"The first 15 to 20 minutes was as well as we've played since I've been here."
