Clough looking to youth

Derby manager Nigel Clough is expecting several more players to progress from the club's academy following the emergence of Jeff Hendrick and Callum Ball.Irish midfielder Hendrick, 19, and striker Ball, 18, have both stepped off the substitutes' bench in recent weeks, while Kealan Dillon has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17 level and striker Kwame Thomas recently appeared for England's under-16s.Clough said: "We have a lot of promising youngsters coming through the academy from the under-14s upwards."There has been a lot of hard work put in to the academy since we've been at the club and that will continue over the next few years."We want to be producing our own players, that's the goal for us. That has to be a major part of our strategy, to ultimately produce our own players to go into the side alongside our more experienced players."
