Clough keen on Fielding deal

Derby boss Nigel Clough has revealed he would like to sign Blackburn goalkeeper Frank Fielding on a permanent basis in the summer.Fielding rejoined the Championship club for a second spell last month on a 93-day emergency loan deal.Clough has only youngsters Ross Atkins and James Severn as back-up keepers and question marks surround Stephen Bywater`s future at Pride Park after he was recently allowed to join Cardiff on loan."We knew at the time Frank could not complete the season, but it was important to get him in for these games obviously with a view to trying to secure a deal in the summer on a permanent basis," Clough told the Lancashire Telegraph."Frank is a good young goalkeeper, the England Under-21 keeper, and we think he fits into everything we are trying to do."
