Clough happy with break

Derby County boss Nigel Clough believes a rest period during the international break will help prepare the club for a tough last two months of the season.

The Rams, who are six points above the relegations places but have two games in hand, will be worked hard too over the break despite being without Kris Commons, Nacer Barazit, Lewin Nyatanga, Mile Sterjovski and Barry Bannan.

"They'll be working hard as well, ready for the last final push," Clough told BBC Radio Derby.

"It's about getting some rest for the players, but the last thing we want to do is ease off at this stage of the season."
