Clough brings in Pringle

Derby County boss Nigel Clough has snapped up the promising Ilkeston Town midfielder Ben Pringle on a one-year deal.

The 20-year-old former West Brom trainee played a key role in the Robins' promotion to Blue Square North in the season just ended and Clough is looking forward to working with him.

He told the Rams' official website: "Obviously this is a signing with an eye very much on the future.

"He's a player we've seen and think has potential to player in the Football League as he progresses.

"Ben also has the attitude and character we're looking to bring to this football club, with a hunger to better himself and play at the highest level possible.

"It's up to the player now to prove himself and make the progression we believe he can make."
