Championship FTBpro PFA Fan Player Of The Year Contender: Craig Bryson - Derby County

Scottish international Craig has been an absolute inspiration for Derby this season as the Rams look to secure promotion to the Premier League in Saturday’s play-off final.

The epitome of what we call a ‘box-to-box player’, the former Clyde and Kilmarnock player has scored goals galore during a fantastic campaign, including two hat-tricks against Millwall and famously local rivals Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder blossomed under former boss Nigel Clough and has continued to shine in the second half of the season with Steve McClaren at the helm.

Bryson and Derby have faced some big examinations of their qualities already this season, but the Rams are bracing themselves for the greatest test of all against QPR at Wembley.

The 27-year-old says: “This is by far the biggest game of my career. There’s so much riding on it and this is the first time I will ever have played at Wembley or in front of 90,000 people.

“But we know what’s at stake and we know what we have to do on Saturday. It’s a massive occasion for all the players, the club and the fans and I don’t think they envisaged we would be in this position at the start of the season.

“Even if we don’t get promoted I think it’s still been a good season and we can be proud of what we’ve achieved.”

Voting is now open for the Championship FTBpro PFA Fans' Player of the Year award and fans can cast their votes at http://www.football.co.uk/pfa-fans-player-of-the-month/index.shtml
