Bolder tipped to leave Rams
24 Jan 2007 - 15:09:47
Derby County have confirmed reports suggesting QPR are on the verge of signing the former Hull City midfielder Adam Bolder.
The 26-year-old had been linked with a loan switch to the Tigers earlier this week before QPR boss John Gregory made his move for the player.
However, reports suggesting a deal had been agreed with the west London side for Bolder's services have been given short shrift by the Rams' managing director Mike Horton.
He told the club's official website: "It's true that, following a call from QPR's manager John Gregory, we've given permission to Adam Bolder to talk with QPR about personal terms. That's happening today.
"We're mindful of the service Adam has given to Derby County and felt that supporting him at this time was important. However, no agreement has been reached between the two clubs on a transfer fee."
Horton also confirmed that County were interested in signing Blackburn Rovers full-back James McEveley and West Ham's Tyrone Mears.
