Derby County midfielder Miles Addison has penned a contract extension to keep him at Pride Park until the summer of 2012.
The versatile 20-year-old has become a first-team regular for the Rams this season, earning a further 12 months on his current deal.
Manager Nigel Clough told the club's official website: "Miles signing is great news for everybody at the club, as is seeing youngsters emerging through the academy and breaking into the first-team.
"I think he showed what qualities he has against Manchester United last week. His closing down is as good as anything we have seen in the league.
"We have just got to improve the side of his game when he has the ball, but he is a major influence in winning the ball back for us."
