Inigo Idiakez started his career in Spain with Real Sociedad in 1992 and he had a very sucessful time at the club, making over 200 appearances. He moved to Real Oviedo in 2002 and stayed there until 2004 when he was signed by Derby. Idiakez had a superb debut season with Derby, scoring 11 goals and he was named player of the year. He has had a good season again this term and has 8 goals this season which makes him the clubs top scorer. Idiakez recently signed a new deal with Derby, keeping him at the club until 2008.
