We missed Bueno - Clough

Manager Nigel Clough felt Alberto Bueno was sorely missed as Derby's winning run at Pride Park was halted by Norwich. A hamstring injury forced the Spanish striker, who is on a season-long loan from Real Valladolid, to sit out the 2-1 defeat on Saturday. Clough believes Bueno had been instrumental in the sequence of six consecutive home victories. "We missed Alberto against Norwich. It is really the home games where he makes a difference. It is no fluke and no surprise he missed Saturday's home game and it didn't go our way," said Clough. "His influence away from home is slightly less than it is at home and that is why in any home game, we would like our best players available." Derby had plenty of chances to score against Norwich but could only take one of them and Clough added: "The person you want the chances to drop to, Alberto or somebody like that, was not on the pitch. "If he had been out there we would have fancied him to put one in because he can make a real difference to us. There were a number of situations where you could envisage him just making a better choice and either making or scoring a goal."
