Todd poised for move down under

The 34-year-old is expected to land in the country on Tuesday to discuss terms with the club after leaving Derby County. David Mitchell, the former Swindon and Millwall striker who is Perth's coach, believes that the deal is already done and is pleased to be signing a player of such experience. "It's a good signing for us because from a centre-half point of view he's got a lot of experience," he told Perth Now. "He's played at a very high level and he's a leader. "Technically he's good, he's a very intelligent player that reads the game well and he's a good organiser." Yet although Mitchell is confident that the deal will go through, it is thought that Todd could still opt to remain in England should he receive any suitable offers.
