The defender came on as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 defeat on Sunday and impressed with his composure and ability. He does not become a full-time scholar until next season but was thrilled with his introduction to first-team football. "I came over here to get my fitness up and to start afresh next season but everything has happened one after another, I took my chances when they came, and I'm happy with everything right now," he told the club's official website. "Getting my first touch out of the way and getting the nerves down was really pleasing, and to hear all the fans gives you a real big boost. "Now I'm looking forward to next season when hopefully I'll be playing regular for our under-18 side and push on from there."
