Striker hints at Rams departure

The Argentinian, signed by former Rams boss Paul Jewell for £2million last January, has found first-team opportunities hard to come by due to the form of Rob Hulse, Kris Commons and January signing Chris Porter. And the 27-year-old will seek pastures new in the summer if he cannot force his way into Clough's side. "I don't know what will happen next season. Of course I want to play. I haven't started for a long time but I will wait for my chance." Villa told the Derby Evening Telegraph. "Everyone wants to play. I want to play, too. But if I can't play in this team, obviously I have to follow my career somewhere else, probably in another country - but I don't know where." He added: "I am always waiting for my chance but there is a lot of competition for places and the manager will pick the best team for each game. I will just keep working hard. I have done that my whole career and it is my only option at the moment."
