Sterjovski happy at Pride Park

Australia international Sterjovski has a year to run on his contract and admits he was considering his future earlier this season when he struggled to win a place in the Rams' matchday squad under former boss Paul Jewell. Now the 29-year-old is back on the first-team scene under new manager Nigel Clough and insists he is happy at Pride Park. "It was a tough time for me earlier this season, that's for sure. I had to look closely at my situation and the A-League was certainly an option and there was strong interest from Perth," Sterjovski told the Sydney Morning Herald. "But that was before Nigel Clough came along. He has been a breath of fresh air. He came along at the right time for me. We have a really good relationship. I like his methods and training. The only thing is I would like more game time but that will come. "I've got another year at Derby and the way things are with Nigel Clough, obviously I would like to stay. I will assess things at the end of the season. If I feel I need to move, then we will talk but I'm very happy at Derby."
