Scotland call for Commons
The 25-year-old has been included in George Burley's 23-man party for the game in Oslo on August 12 despite missing much of the Rams' pre-season preparations with a hamstring injury.
Commons played in his first friendly game of the summer at Notts County last week, stepping off the bench to make a goalscoring return in a 3-2 victory for Nigel Clough's side.
He got another 25 minutes under his belt on Saturday as Derby drew 2-2 against his former club Stoke at Pride Park.
