Savage, 36, who is out of contract at the end of the season, held talks with the Canadian club earlier this month about a possible switch.
However, the former Wales international has decided to snub their overtures. "I'm going to stay here," Savage wrote on Twitter.
"Canada was a great option but it was too big a move for my family."
