Real wanting to recreate Euro win

Real Madrid have gone back nearly 40 years to view videos of their two legged European Cup win over the Rams

It may be some 37 years ago that Derby County beat Real Madrid 4-1 at the Baseball Ground but the Spanish giants still remember it well and are looking to take inspiration from it.

The Rams had surprised everyone in the first leg of this European Cup game by taking a 4-1 advantage to the Bernabeu stadium. Charlie George had scored a memorable hatrick in the process and all looked good for the Rams to progress in the competition.

Real however hadn't finished yet and after bringing the tie level at 4-1 (5-5 on aggregate) finished the Rams off in extra time with the winning goal. Real madrid hope to show the game to their present representatives, Ronaldo included to try and get the same sort of spirit to overcome the 4-1 defecite they now face against Borussia Dortmund in this seasons European Cup semi final second leg.

For those of you who couldn't be there here is one of the Rams finest moments in Europen football, the win over Real Madrid..:
