Derby County's players will enjoy a four day trip to Loughborough Uni as pre-season training is taken up a level this week Rams off to Uni this weekThe Rams are in their first full week of pre-season training and they are to experience all that Loughborough University can offer with four days spent there adding to their fitness. The University can offer a greater range of activities and is thought to have been chosen to give the players some variety in their training rather than the everyday activities down at Moor Farm. They will enjoy swimming and will have a go at cycling on the campuses cycle track. The main theme of Nigel Clough's strategy for pre-season is "don't push it". The manager realises that players will reach their playing level of fitness at differing times during July, but hopes all will be fully fit by the Championship kick-off in August.Training will continue after the Uni trip with runs at Darley Park, one of Brian Clough's favourite places and Allestree Park, used to good effect by Arthur Cox during his successful time with Derby County...
