Rams to honour Alexander

A tribute to the late Keith Alexander will take place before Saturday's game Keith Alexander 1956-2010Derby County will say good-bye and honour Keith Alexander who died last weekend with a minutes applause.Keith was a striker during his playing days and played for several non-league and lower league clubs, including Notts County, Grimsby, Lincoln and Mansfield Town. One of Keith's most succesful times came at Stamford, where in 1980 they won the FA Vase.He has also played International football for St Lucia, taking to the field on three occasions.Taking up management in 1993 with Lincoln City, he went on to manage Ilkeston Town, Northwich Victoria, Lincoln City again, Peterborough and his final management post at Macclesfield.It was whilst managing Macclesfield at Notts County Keith felt unwell and was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.Nigel Clough has spoken of his respect and friendship with Alexander and like many others will sadly miss one of Footballs gentlemen...RIP Keith Alexander 1956-2010
