Rams to dip into loan market for defender

Derby County will look to secure their defensive with a loan signing this week

After a dismal defensive capitulation on Saturday after holding a 2-0 lead over Peterborough, Derby County will this week look to secure the services of Mansfield Town's highly rated defender Tom Naylor.

Naylor seen here on the right has had a trail with the Rams earlier this season and impressed. Now Derby are down to the bare bones in certain areas of the pitch and the defence has suffered serious losses in recent months, losing Brayford, Barker and several other first team players and the cracks are begining to show for a Rams side that had its best start to a season for 106 years.

The 20 year-old Naylor has had rave reviews for his performances this season and the Rams look to be at the head of a large chasing bunch of clubs after him. These include Premiership QPR, Championship rivals Leeds United and Hull City, plus Charlton Athletic.

It is hoped that a loan deal for Naylor can be hammered out before the Rams resume their Championship fixtures on the 19th November at Pride Park stadium against Hull City.

Derby will then hope to sign Naylor on a perminent basis in the January transfer window...
