The midfielder, who produced some impressive performances as a makeshift centre-half over the last few weeks, suffered a stress fracture of his right foot whilst playing in that position against Blackpool last month.[LNB]Rams boss Nigel Clough is unsure whether the 20-year-old academy product will require an operation to rectify the problem.[LNB]"We will not be seeing him until pre-season now, which is a blow but one we expected," said Clough.[LNB]"We are still not sure whether he will have surgery but the foot will be immobilised for a while and the most important thing at his age is to get it sorted.[LNB]"He has shown this season that whatever position - midfield or centre-back, and he looks more comfortable at centre-half at the moment - he has a big future and is certainly in the plans for next season and beyond."[LNB][LNB]
