Young striker Charles Vernam has signed for Derby County today from Scunthorpe United.
The youngster, who is only 16 years of age liked the set-up at Derby and so signed for an undiclosed fee. His contract at Scunthorpe was due to run out at the end of the season but the offer by the Rams was too good to turn down.
Vernam was offered a trial with AC Milan earlier this year hen only 1 years of age. No news on how he did out there but anyone offered a trial with AC Milan must have shown quite a bit of talent. Hopefully Charles will continue to progress during his time with the Rams.
Charles now joins a growing squad of young talent at Derby County.
