Rams Showcase pre-season friendly cancelled
A surprise cancellation of the much awaited prestige pre-season friendly for Derby County against Fiorentina sees supporters offered a refund Derby County have today announced the cancellation of the showcase pre-season friendly game against Fiorentina. The only explanation is that there were "Unforeseen circumstances". A hurriedly re-arranged friendly now sees the Rams take on Birmingham City on the 31st July, the day of the proposed Fiorentina game.Supporters who had paid for the prestige friendly will be offered a complete refund of their money, including booking fees. They will also be given the opportunity to buy tickets for the re-arranged game with the Blues. Ticket prices for this game have been set at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.The Rams hope that a game against Fiorentina can be arranged at some time in the future but it is not known if this will be possible within the busy Championship season.So the Rams now face two Premiership sides during the later part of their Championship pre-season build up. The Rams take on Stoke City on Tuesday 27th July, with Derby County season ticket holders being able to see this game free of charge. Non season ticket holders will again have to pay £12 for adults and £6 concessions...
