Rams release Davis and Albrechtsen

Davis and Albrechtsen have both been deemed surplus to requirements by Rams boss Nigel Clough and had not featured in the first team this season.[LNB]Jamaican centre-half Davis is now expected to join Championship rivals Crystal Palace, where he spent the final stages of last season on loan.[LNB]Palace boss Neil Warnock confirmed that the club have had a work permit hearing for the 30-year-old and should now finalise a deal for Davis.[LNB]Albrechtsen, meanwhile, is expected to return to his native Denmark with reports suggesting the versatile defender will join FC Midtjylland.[LNB]The 29-year-old made 42 appearances for Derby last season after arriving from West Brom, but admitted earlier in the summer that he was open to a move away from Pride Park.[LNB][LNB]
