Rams need a break

Derby manager Nigel Clough admitted he was glad of the upcoming international break after seeing his tired side hold onto a goalless draw at Swansea. Brendan Rodgers' men edged the first half but struggled to break down a resolute Derby defence in a disappointing encounter. Stephen Dobbie twice came close for the Welsh side and Craig Beattie had two late chances to win it, while Derby also had their chances in the second half but the game always looked destined to finish goalless. Clough said: "It was a very good point for us once you put everything into perspective. We had quite a few players missing, players playing out of position and Swansea had a 100% home record. "We couldn't quite fill the bench up so it was a remarkable effort by the players to keep a clean sheet and get a point. "We're glad of the international break so we can get some players back fit."
