Rams must grind it out - Robbie
The Rams saw their four-game winning league run end after a 2-1 defeat at Doncaster on Friday and experienced midfielder Savage was frustrated Derby came away from the match empty-handed.
He told the club's official website: "There are different types of games. There are games where you can play football and pour forward. This was a grind and we didn't grind it out.
"It's not rocket science. You score a goal and make sure you are hard to beat. You kick it in the stands, kick it over the stand, kick it anywhere.
"It's not pretty, but there are games when it is going to be like that."
