The Rams have loaned out Callam Ball as part of a deal to sign Richard Keogh rom Coventry City

Derby County have announced that Callam Ball has left the club on a season long loan. The deal is part of the negotiations to bring Richard Keogh to Pride Park, who signed for the Rams this afternoon.

Although Ball will be dropping down a league Rams manager Nigel Clough has stated that he does have a future with the Rams and a full season with Coventry is seen as a progression in his football education.

Ball is still only 19 years of age and is seen as one of the Academy players who will eventually be a part of Derby County football club in the future.

The capture of Keogh (25) goes some way to replace the huge gap in the centre of the Rams defence, with the Rams fending off attention for the signature of Keogh from Cardiff City , Bristol City and Leeds United...
