Derby County have announced to loaning out of Theo Robinson, whilst loaning in Norwich striker Chris Martin

Derby County are looking to pep up their goal scoring effectiveness by loaning in Norwich striker Chris Martin (24). The Rams will also be loaning out striker Theo Robinson to a Championship club.

The move comes after Robinson has been told he needs to step up his game in order to re-claim a starting place in the Derby County team by Nigel Clough.

Robinson is keen to regain first team football after starting his International career with Jamaica recently. He feels it is essential for his International career to be playing on a regular basis, so asked for the chance to go out on loan.

Martin has been on the fringes of the Norwich set-up in recent times and has been loaned out to several clubs recently. His record of 34 goals in 117 appearances for the Canaries has prompted Nigel Clough to ask for his services. An initial loan period of one month has been agreed, when the situation will again be reviewed.
