Derby County altered their travel plans for yesterday's trip down to London Derby County await the 10.01 train to London yesterdayDerby County let the train take the strain yesterday when a squad of 30 players all took the 10.01 train to London St Pancras station from Derby. The different mode of transport was initially to get the players down to London for their evening kick-off (8.00pm) earlier and give them time to relax before the game. The usual journey time down to Loftus Road would have been around three hours (hold-ups and traffic permitting), but the train from Derby station gets the squad down to London in just one hour and thirty minutes.Fans were out yesterday morning for a chat and autographs and the whole experience seemed to be liked by team members and fans alike. Stephen Bywater added that he would be delighted to talk to fans on the way down to London and found the alternative way of travel to be "a nice change".Derby went on to draw last nights game against QPR 1-1, with defender Shaun Barker netting the Rams equalising goal.
