Rams keeper in Double let down for Country

rank Fielding has narrowly missed being picked for Great Britain and England for the up coming Olympics and European Championships

Derby County's goalkeeper Frank Fielding has been disappointed to miss out on Stuart Pearces Olympic football squad.

The decision not to take him may have been due to the act he was one of the over age players at 24. The squad can only have three overage players and sadly Frank was a casualty at that stage of the selection process.

Fielding must have thought he stood a good chance of being one of the goalkeepers in the tournament, after playing in Pearce's England U21 squad at last summers European Championships.

Frank has had double misfortune in just missing out on a place in Roy Hodgsons full England squad for the 2012 European Championships...
