Rams give defender 3 year deal
Derby County have completed the signing of Jason Shackell Well we reported yesterday that the Rams would get their man and Nigel Clough and the rest of the Derby County backroom and manergerial staff are over the moon after the capture of Barnsley's player of the year, Jason Shackell. The 27-year old has committed to the Ram until 2014 but the fee has not been disclosed but thought to be in the region of £1m. It's not the first time Shackell hs been bought for a million. He was snapped up by Wolves for £1m from Norwich in 2008. Spending much of his time out on loan with the black country side he moved to Barnsley at the start of last season and had one of the best seasons of his life. All at Derby hope the 6ft 4inch defender carries on his form and makes a solid partnership with Shaun Barker once the Rams player of the year returns from surgery...
