Derby County will get a massive defensive boost with the expected return of John Brayford from Injury

With the season coming to a close the Rams have been given a massive boost to their defensive and offensive capabilities with the early return from injury of John Brayford.

Brayford had been expected to be out of contention for the rest of the season following a hamstring tear during the game against Cardiff City on the 5th February. The plucky defender has however refused to be counted out and following five weeks of treatment he took to the field in the Rams U21 game against Coventry City yesterday.

John played for over an hour without reaction and has put himself in with a chance of joining the first team squad who travel to Ewood Park to play Blackburn at the weekend.

It was feared Brayford could have been out for a minimum of eight weeks but the focused 25 year-old was determined to play again this season...
