Steve McClaren has delved into the loan market to bolster his attacking options, with the signing of Tottenham Hotspurs Simon Dawkins.
The 25 year-old has signed on a three month deal with the Rams and is excited to join up with McClaren at the third time of trying. Dawkins had previously been looked over by the Rams boss when at FC Twenty and was on trial at QPR recently.
The move is thought to be to cover the missing Johnny Russell, who will be out with abroken leg until the New Year. It is thought if the FA give clearance Simon will be in the squad for tomorrows game against Watford....
