Following our article and others in the local media Derby County have reviewed their huge season ticket prices for elderly and disabled season ticket holders.
The climb down has happened in one setion of the ground, the North West corner, underneath the score board. This section houses many disabled and supporters over 65 and had been re-catagorised to a 'C' category by the club. This made the price of an adult season ticket in that area a whopping £390 a near rise of 100%.
The club have now re-catagorised that section of the ground down to its original 'D' category. The re-grading still sees an adult season ticket rise from £200 to £300, still a huge rise for many of those least able to pay the huge price rises.
All other price rises seem to have stayed the same at Pride Park, although the are at pains to inform the Derby County faithful that a season ticket in the new South stand will only be £230, although these season ticket holders will have to move when required during certain matches, when the demand from opposition supporters is great.
Many supporters are still unhappy with the large price rises and this could be reflected in the take-up of season tickets this season, only time will tell.
