Rams boss targets two-point haul

The former Burton boss insists that 50 points will be enough to avoid relegation this season. Derby remain on 48 points following their 4-1 defeat to Cardiff, and head to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday before a home game against league leaders Wolves on Bank Holiday Monday. "We are taking our time getting there," said Clough, whose side have won only once in their last eight games. "But other teams have still got to win games below us and if we have to grind out a couple of nil-nils to get to that point then we will do it. "It is all about staying in the Championship. It doesn't matter whether you reach 50 or 49 points if you stay up." Despite the seemingly heavily defeat at Ninian Park, Clough was pleased with his side's display and added: "Overall, our performance was very good, generally speaking. It (4-1) looks like a comprehensive defeat, but it was not a 4-1. "We were delighted with some of the football and if we continue to play like that then we will get those one or two points that we feel we need to stay up."
