Pringle eyes more first-team action

Rookie Derby midfielder Ben Pringle is determined to establish himself in Nigel Clough's first-choice starting line-up. The former Ilkeston Town player made only his second league start for the Rams in last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Barnsley. And he is ready to grasp the opportunity presented to him by Clough, who was impressed with the 21-year-old's contribution at Oakwell. "I was obviously delighted to start at Barnsley and I will do whatever the manager asks from me to do a job for the team," Pringle told Rams Player. "I hope I did enough for him to keep my place in the side. I would love to keep my spot in the team, and that is what I'll be working to do for as long as I'm in the side. "I know I have my work cut out with the quality of players we have on the bench and in the squad, but I'm ready for the challenge. If I can not keep my place in the starting XI, I will just help out when I can as a substitute and being in the squad."
