Potters come to Pride Park

Derby will host Stoke in a pre-season friendly as part of their preparations for the 2010-11 Championship campaign. The Rams will play the Premier League side at Pride Park on July 27 with the game kicking off at 7.45pm. The two clubs met in a pre-season friendly last summer when a crowd of over 23,000 saw Derby youngster Arnaud Mendy score in the final minute to snatch a 2-2 draw for Nigel Clough`s side. County have announced that season ticket holders will be able to watch the game free of charge. Chief executive Tom Glick told the club`s official website: "The offer is just one of our oncoming commitments to our season ticket base. The uptake in last year`s friendly was very pleasing and we are hoping for another strong turn-out this time around."
