O'Brien eyes New Year boost
The 16-year-old defender had surgery on heart valves at Leicester's Glenfield Hospital and now faces a three-month rest before resuming his promising career.[LNB]He has returned to Ireland for the time being but will return to Derby for check-ups and is hoping to be fit for a return early in 2010.[LNB]"I have to build it up to get stronger and stronger before eventually getting back into training and I can't wait for that day to come," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"It sounds exactly like an injury and that is the way I'm treating it and I hope to back in the New Year.[LNB]"Roll on the New Year - it will be a completely new year for me."[LNB][LNB]
