The 190 page books is a must for all Rams fans, bringing back memories from a period in Derby County history, some games not necessarily a Rams win but that do stick in the memory. The games are personally reviewed by author Andy Ellis, with some of his own photographs from the era of favourite Rams players and the covers of many of the ‘RAM’, the official Derby County programme. Andy has blended these with various quotes and articles from local media. For those of us of an age to remember these Rams games it is a walk down memory lane, with some emotive games including Play-off games, the infamous 1-7 drubbing by Liverpool at the Baseball Ground and those high profile pre-season games against the might of Sampdoria in 1997 and Barcelona the following year. For those not old enough or unlucky enough to have missed the games, it offers a great personal view from Mr Ellis. Each game is reviewed in detail, giving referee, attendance, as well as the programme of the day. At the end of the book we get Andy’s ‘Team of the Decade’ which lists reads like a who’s who of Rams favourites and names that will never be forgotten within English football. In short, if you are a Rams fan who loves stats, and reading about a bygone era of success’s and the odd failure, this is the book for you.
