Metgod defends Rams position

Coach Johnny Metgod believes Derby`s league position is slightly misleading. The Rams have slipped to 18th in the npower Championship after just two wins in their last 13 matches. Saturday`s home victory over promotion-chasing Swansea ended a nine-game winless run at Pride Park stretching back to November. Metgod said: "It was a relief to finally win at home but it was also confirmation of what we are capable of. "We have lost games we should have drawn and drawn some we should have won - Portsmouth and Middlesbrough are two such games. "With those points we would be round the 50-point mark, and that is halfway up the league. That is where we are aiming to finish, anywhere mid-table. That is going to be a position we are looking for."
