Mears keen on move to Marseille
The 26-year-old defender has been on loan at the French Ligue 1 club since the beginning of September and is keen to stay in the south of France, despite only making three first-team appearances so far during his stay at the Stade Velodrome.
"We are yet to discuss (his future) and I have no idea of where I will be playing football next season," he told Marseille's official website.
"In the meantime, I focus my attention on the next few games, but I would like to stay at L'OM. I do love this club and hope to play as many games as possible here.
"I must say that being part of a club that I love in a place that I love and within a squad where the atmosphere is good, helped me a lot."
