After a spell of six years goalkeeper Lee Grant has returned to Pride Park on a three year deal.
The 30 year-old was over the moon to be returning to Derby, as his family still live in the Derby area.
Grant was surprisingly let go by Derby County when the then young keeper showed much promise. He went on to prove his worth with many a sterling performance fo Sheffield Wednesday.
He went on to join Burnley in the summer of 2010 and after a shakey start won over the Clarets fans with some excellent performances. The Burnley fans were shocked to hear that Grant would not be playing for them next season but a deal with some of the keepers at Pride Park may be on the cards.
Grant will not officially join the club until the 1st July, after his current contract at Burnley comes to an end. The Rams have picked up Grant on a free transfer, although he was one of the highest earners at Turf Moor.
It is unclear as to what the pecking order will be next season in the goalkeeping department, with the Rams having six keepers on their books at this time, but Grant will be hoping to push for the number one shirt and could make it his if, as expected Derby move on one or two goalkeepers from their ranks...
