Derby County's great young midfield hope, Will Hughes has activated a years extension to his present career after his eighteenth Birthday Yesterday (April 17th).
The England U21 International will now be contracted to play for Derby County until the summer of 2016.
Rams manager, Nigel Clough is very pleased with the extension, saying he wanted to keep all his best young players coming through from the Academy.
Hughes, who is currently out injured with a groin strain, is hoping to play again this season. Clough however has indicated that he will not be rushed and after 32 consecutive appearances for Derby this season Hughes deserves time to recover completely from his exhertions...
