Hendrie targets Rams extension
Hendrie arrived at Pride Park from Sheffield United earlier in September after falling out of favour with Blades manager Kevin Blackwell.
The 32-year-old has joined the Rams until the end of the season but is hopeful he can extend his stay.
"This summer I've worked really, really hard at getting my fitness high and trying to prove a few points," he told BBC Radio Derby.
"I've got a lot to prove to the gaffer [Nigel Clough] that I am
still good enough and I can still play.
"But I love my training, I can still get about the pitch and I'm still fit. I've got until the end of the season and there's a carrot there."
