The 26-year-old has come on as a substitute in the last three games and on each occasion was given pain-killing injections because of a bruised foot, in which he broke a metatarsal last season. "That was the first training session he has joined in. He was fine - not particularly good - but fine!" Clough told the Derby Telegraph. "For the last three weeks he has been playing games but not training. "It is a bonus he is back and in contention. It's good to see him back and hopefully we can get him fit enough to start a game with no injections or anything like that."
