Eustace serving Rams ban

Derby will be without the suspended John Eustace when Sheffield Wednesday visit Pride Park Stadium.

Eustace received his fifth yellow card of the campaign during the defeat at QPR last weekend and the midfielder must serve a one-match ban against the Owls.

Rams head coach Steve McClaren has options to fill the void left by Eustace, which could see Andre Wisdom utilised in a defensive midfield role, or alternatively, the former England boss could change his side's formation.

Midfielder Ben Davies (calf) is back in full training but Saturday will come too soon for Jeff Hendrick (ankle), Mark O'Brien (knee), James Bailey (knee) and Johnny Russell (broken leg), although the quartet have resumed training and could be available after the impending international break.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones could name an unchanged starting line-up.

The Owls tasted victory for the first time this season last week with a 5-2 win over Reading and Jones has no new injury or suspension worries.

Midfielder Jose Semedo sits out the last game of this three-match ban and midfielder David Prutton (ankle) remains sidelined, but otherwise Jones has a full-strength squad.

Loan pair Matty Fryatt and Connor Wickham have been given permission to play by their respective parent clubs Hull and Sunderland.
