McClaren has options for Lions game

Derby head coach Steve McClaren has plenty of options at his disposal ahead of the visit of Millwall.

Any changes are likely to be kept to a minimum and could be limited to just one, as it was on Tuesday night against Bournemouth when Ryan Shotton replaced Zak Whitbread in central defence, with Johnny Russell perhaps coming in for Jordan Ibe, who was substituted at half-time in midweek.

Jeff Hendrick made his return from a five-match absence with a dislocated shoulder as a second-half substitute against the Cherries and the midfielder is likely to be involved from the bench once more.

Hip flexor problems will probably keep defender Jake Buxton and midfielder Simon Dawkins on the sidelines for the final game before a two-week international break.

Millwall boss Ian Holloway has problems at right-back after Carlos Edwards' recent cruciate injury.

Justin Hoyte stepped in against Birmingham on Tuesday night but he was clearly struggling for match fitness and was replaced by Richard Chaplow at half-time during the 3-1 defeat.

Captain Alan Dunne is another option but Holloway does not want to move him from his current position at centre-half, so midfielder Chaplow could get a chance from the start.

The Lions, who have taken just one point from a possible 15, are also without winger Lee Martin (knee) and midfielder Nicky Bailey (calf).
