Bryson ready to start against Lions

Craig Bryson is ready to return to the Derby starting line-up against Millwall.

A thigh problem kept Bryson out of the last home game, a narrow victory over Bournemouth, and he was used only as a late substitute in the defeat to Burnley last weekend. Rams head coach Steve McClaren revealed later that it would have been too much of a risk to start the Scotland international at Turf Moor.

Jeff Hendrick came in for Bryson against Bournemouth and also started at Burnley. He played 90 minutes for the Republic of Ireland Under-21 side on Wednesday, while skipper Richard Keogh (Republic of Ireland), forward Jamie Ward (Northern Ireland) and Will Hughes (England Under-21) have returned from international duty unscathed.

Top scorer Chris Martin will serve a one-match suspension following his red card against the Clarets so Conor Sammon looks favourite to step in for what would be only his second league start this season.

DJ Campbell should return to the Millwall squad.

Campell, who had a spell on loan with the Rams five years ago, missed last weekend's 1-0 home defeat by Brighton due to a bout of flu.

Fellow striker Steve Morison dropped to the bench against the Seagulls as he has been carrying a slight groin injury so he will be checked over.

Defender Mark Beevers is fit after a calf problem but midfielders Richard Chaplow (calf) and Nicky Bailey (back) are set to miss out again as the Lions look for their first win in eight matches.
